The role of the filter

Filter refers to the accessories that filter impurities or gases through filter paper. Generally refers to the car filter, is the engine accessories. According to different filtration functions, it is divided into: oil filter, fuel filter (gasoline filter, diesel filter, oil-water separator filter, hydraulic filter), air filter, air conditioning filter and so on. As we all know, each kind of product has its role, in the lubrication system, the oil filter is used to make the lubrication system oil flow unimpeded, in order to avoid impurities scratching the surface of the parts, the oil must be carefully filtered. In order to achieve a satisfactory filtration effect without increasing the resistance, the coarse filter is connected to the main oil passage in series, and the fine filter is connected to the main oil passage in parallel.

1. In order to make the oil pump work well, it is necessary to filter out the large particles of impurities in the lubricating oil before entering the oil pump. This task is undertaken by the filter collector. It is connected to the oil inlet of the oil pump. When the oil pump is working, the oil is sucked from the slit between the cover and the float. After the coarse impurities are filtered through the filter screen, the oil enters the oil pump through the tubing welded on the float.

2. The crude filter is connected in series between the oil pump and the main oil channel, so it is also called the full-flow filter, which is used to filter the larger impurities in the oil. When the engine works, the lubricating oil is sent into the gap around the filter element, the larger impurities in the oil are blocked by the filter paper, and the clean lubricating oil enters the inside of the filter element, and then enters the main oil channel of the cylinder block through the oil outlet.

3. Fine filter, its role is to filter out smaller impurities in the lubricating oil, it is usually connected with the main oil channel, there are two kinds of centrifugal and paper plate.

4. Fuel filter, its role is to filter out harmful particles and moisture in the engine fuel gas system, to protect the oil pump nozzle, cylinder liner, piston ring, etc., in order to reduce wear and avoid clogging. And filter out the iron oxide contained in the fuel.
